Health Care Interpreter Ethics - 9AM-12PM - $39

Instructor: Melanie DeLeon, M.S., ASL Court Certified Interpreter

Continuing education 3-hour ethics review for Health Care Interpreters. The class will focus on the Ethics of Health Care Interpreting using best practice examples.

Meets Oregon Health Authority Continuing Education re-quirements in Ethics or Other topics.

Those Darned Equivalencies - 9AM-12PM - $39

Instructor: Christina Healy, PhD, ASL/Eng Interpreter and Educator

What do we do when there is no direct equivalent term in English and our other languages?! The class uses interpreting models to illustrate the mental processes so the interpreter can address equivalencies and other aspects of interpreting in increasingly effective ways.

Meets Oregon Health Authority Continuing Education re-quirements in Ethics or Other topics.
