Working Voices: Elevating Health Care Interpretation in Oregon

Thanks to a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation, Oregon Health Care Interpreters Association conducted a research study to hear directly from HCIs (health care interpreters) about the barriers, attitudes, cultural issues, and specific problems affecting their work. Findings from this research can be used to identify best practices for programs to reach, train, mentor, coach, retain, and develop the HCI workforce.
